Nest/Google Doorbell Lag "Person Detected"

Is it normal for this doorbell to just alert Person detected, they are in fact there (spotted on my wyze camera) but the snapshot shows nothing. We had the 1 month trial which was great, "what awesome features" we thought. 

Im not one to complain about these products on their so called "free" service but this doorbell is totally junk when youre not on a monthly plan, it turns into a 150$ CAD paperweight or a MASSIVE light up $5 doorbell replacement.  
The only positive is that its wired and I can connect to it live for a door ring (sometimes), otherwise I can never look up video, the snapshots are useless since the person has to maybe wait and smile for the camera for me to see a photo of them. 

Can google expand to at least allow the full service details for a limited time ? 12 hours a day or something where it works FULLY as the paid version ? Just expires every 12 hours or something that can make the product useful. 

Anyways, will probably end up in a landfill given how useless it is.
