Nest Hello Wired Issues

Installed Nest Hello Wired doorbell in 2021 and connected it to inside chime. Everything worked fine until recently and now the inside or outside chime does not ring consistently. The camera sends notifications and works fine but unless I see notification on phone I don't know someone is at the door most times. All wiring looks good. Have increased home duration but doesn't help. Anyone having similar issues and if so how did you get it fixed?

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

 

  • Would you mind sharing a picture of the wiring on your Nest Doorbell and chime installation?
  • Have you checked the voltage?
  • Have there been any recent changes in your home's electrical system?

 

In the meantime, let's check this tip:

 

Check if Quiet Time is enabled. This should be turned off.

  • In the Nest app: Go to the live feed > check if Quiet Time is turned off.
