Your post doesn't mention whether your doorbell is connected to your indoor chime. The Nest Hello is designed to be wired to your existing chime using the chime connector that comes with the doorbell. The Nest chime connector provides continuous power to run the doorbell's camera without triggering the chime.
I don't know whether you can successfully wire the Nest Hello directly to a regular doorbell transformer without a chime. We have 3 Nest Hellos. Two are wired to our old mechanical chime using the provided chime connectors. At our third entrance, where we had no existing doorbell wiring, we connected it to an OhmKat Power Adapter for the Nest Hello. This device is electronically designed to provide continuous power to a Nest Hello doorbell.

Thank you for your communication we have the doorbell connected to an OhmKat power adapter it’s so strange because it powers up when connected by the micro usb we have had the power adapter test by an electrical engineer who says it is all good

Maybe you have a defective Nest Hello. You could try calling OhmKat for ideas; they actually have people who answer their phones. We mistakenly ordered the OhmKat electronic chime with a UK adapter. I called on New Year's Eve and reached someone, who said they'd send us one with a US adapter immediately, asking us to just mail back the UK adapter.
Unfortunately, you can only reach Google Nest Support via this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?hl=en
If your Nest Hello is new, you might have better luck exchanging it with your retailer.

Hey there,
Did this Nest Hello work with this transformer before? Have you tried checking your transformer's voltage using a voltmeter? If yes, how is it? Also, could you provide a photo of the wires showing your chime, doorbell and transformer?
Best,
Melba
