Nest Hello wired wiring help (2 wires to transformer in chime)

asashonj

Having trouble wiring my nest hello.  My current mechanical chime has two wires connecting to the transformer.  I'll attach the chime wiring diagram for assistance.

This is how my chime is currently wired.  Not sure how to change wiring for Nest Hello.  Any help would be appreciated.  I've tried a few things and my chime will constantly chime without ringing the doorbell so I must have had something wrong.

Hello asashonj,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I’d be happy to help you with the Nest doorbell. Let’s check it out.

A few questions: what country are you located in? Did you use the included chime connector to wire the doorbell? Also, what is the voltage rating of the transformer?

You can visit this article to learn how to check Nest doorbell compatibility.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Lance

Lance,

Located in the United States. Yes I  was using the chime connector.  The transformer voltage is 16V 10VA.  Thanks for the help.

Hi asashonj,

Thanks for the additional information you've shared. Since the chime has wires that aren't labeled T (Trans), F (Front), or R (Rear), it might be compatible, but I'd suggest contacting a local pro installer for installation.

Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Lance
