I would like to congratulate Google nest customer services for the worst aftercare I have ever experienced in my life . I have had 2 x nest IQ cameras fail and both times google said out of warranty even though it was only just ! I made a complaint that was open for 5 months without a reply ! I then purchased a new boxed nest iq camera privately at a cost of £300 and surprise it didn’t work and guess what google said “ sorry out of warranty “ Now my understanding of consumer rights is an item has to be fit for purpose and we would expect such expensive equipment to last longer ? I asked good if they could inspect my camera as the red flashing light I have been advised is a component fail that would be expected to last many years. They ignored me and would not provide an address to sent the camera to . This is called hiding 🙈 and hoping I will go away . So for all those that I can see have had the same issue and especially if somebody in the legal profession who can clarify Google’s responsibility then comment would be appreciated.
