Nest IQ Outdoor lost connection and blinks blue

Hi,

I operated three Nest IQ outdoor cameras and one IQ Indoor for more than 2 years without any issues. Some weeks ago one Outdoor camera stopped working completely, so I took it down and started (indoors) the repair work.

  1. The Nest app on my iPhone 12 (iOS 14.8 and now 15) listed the camera as "offline".
    I delisted the camera from app.
  2. Power is on, camera blinks blue slowly for 20 seconds or so and than dies off playing a ding-dong sound (repeatedly).
  3. Reset has been done multiple times, doesn't respond now (no yellow ring)
  4. App reports error NC023 (bluetoth connection) even in a distance of 10 cm from camera
  5. all other cameras in my house are visible in the device list when I try to connect the non-working camera without QR scan.

Anything I can do (except going through camera reset, power on-off, app restart, bluetooth restart, router reset cycles)?

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I can definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be. I would love to help you find a solution to this issue. 

  • Do you still need help with this issue?

  • What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far? 

  • Have you tried to restart your device if you haven’t already?

  • If the restart didn’t work, have you tried to do a Factory Reset? This would be a last resort option, but would clear out issues and the device would essentially be ‘brand new’
