Nest IQ outdoor wont connect

Nest IQ outdoor camera lost connection in app. No lights on camera. Disconnected camera and plugged another USB C item into the power cord, no power. Original cord determined to be faulty.  Plugged Nest cam into another, non-nest USB C cord, now light ring blinks blue, still does not show connected in app. Removed cam from app, used pin to press reset button on face of camera with power on. With reset pressed no lights are on, held for 30 seconds, when released ring blinks blue again. Tried to add camera back to the app, scanned the QR code, app times out and says something went wrong NC023, light ring still flashing blue. Thoughts??

Hi there!

Thanks for posting in the Community.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience that you’ve been experiencing with your Nest IQ Outdoor camera. I understand that it randomly lost the connection and even after connecting the camera to a different cable it was still having the same behavior. Then you removed it from the app but you are not able to add it back to the Nest App and getting the NC023 error code. But no worries let’s troubleshoot your device together.

Here are some additional troubleshooting that might be helpful:

  1. Put the mobile device on airplane mode, then turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
  2. Move the joining device closer to the router, or the router closer to the assisting device.
  3. Create another structure in the Nest or Google Home app and try to add the device to the newly created structure.
  4. Try to add the device to another account.
  5. Reset the joining device to default.

And please make sure that we are following the correct steps to factory reset your Nest Camera. Here I let you the steps that you have to follow:

  1. Make sure your camera is plugged in and powered on before continuing.
    • Tip: To help restore your settings after resetting your camera, write down or take a screenshot of your camera settings.
  2. Press and hold your camera's reset button with the paperclip or thumbtack. When the light ring starts spinning blue, release the button. Your camera's lights will turn off while it's resetting.
    • Note: If you want to cancel the factory reset, release the button while the light is spinning yellow.
  3. The factory reset is complete when your camera chimes and the light ring starts slowly pulsing blue.

Please check the following articles: Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell and Set up and connect Nest camera.

Tell me how it goes.

Regards,

Daniel.
