Nest Outdoor Camera - hacked??

Mmmaria

I’ve recently set up a new nest outdoor camera and have it sitting in my bedroom while I wait for the installation to take place next week. The camera is fully charged and is on. Last 2 mornings in a row I’m woken up around 6AM with very loud “walkie talkie “ type noise coming from the camera and I’m also hearing a baby babbling . It’s not coming from anywhere in my house as my kids are asleep. It also feels like some signal is intercepted and is interfering with the camera, perhaps a baby monitor or maybe someone is connecting to my camera? I’m really concerned and now moved the camera out of my bedroom. Any ideas?

Hey there,

Thanks for bringing this up to me, I'd love to take a look into this for you. It may be interference somehow from someone else, maybe a neighbor possibly. Do you share your network with anyone? Either way, I would suggest that you restart the device first. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This might be helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,
Brad
