Nest Sound Alert disabled but still receiving notifications

I recently changed phones so I had to install the Nest app again.  It was a Samsung to Samsung phone transition, so all settings ported over the same as before.

I have sound notifications turned off on the Nest doorbell app, but I am still receiving the notifications in spite of that. With the old phone I never received sound notifications once I disabled that feature. On the new phone I turned the feature on and turned it off again to see if that would work, but I am still receiving them even though it is disabled.

Any thoughts?
