Nest Wired Doorbell 2nd Generation

Our doorbell will work for a while but will stop working after several times when the doorbell function is used.  The doorbell will not stop working immediately after the doorbell button is pushed, but at some period of time after this function is used.  The only way to restart the doorbell is I have to physically remove the doorbell, turn the power off and then do a factory reset to get the doorbell restarted.  I have looked at the online help and I have not seen anything that covers this problem.  The doorbell will work for a couple of day, then go offline.  This has been occurring for several months and I finally determined that I needed assistance to determine what the issue is.

Thank you for posting here in the community. I'm sorry that your Nest Doorbell 2nd Gen isn't working as expected and got offline for a few months now, I really appreciate the effort. But don't worry let me help you.

 

I just need to ask a few questions for better assistance:

 

 How far is the camera from the router?

  • Do you have other Nest devices in the house?
  • Are there other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi where the camera is connected?
  • Can the camera find other Wi-Fi networks?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the camera?
  • Do other devices experience slow internet speeds?
  • What Wi-Fi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?
