Nest app says "doorbell connected to other account". How do I fix this?

I recently rewired my Nest Doorbell and installed a new 30VA transformer to replace to old one. I am trying to reinstall the doorbell on my Nest app. I did a factory reset and went through the steps on the app, but it stops me with a message that the doorbell is connected to another account. I checked both my home and my nest accounts and neither shows a doorbell at all. What do I do next?

I'm not sure why you did a factory reset if all you did was to re-wire your doorbell.

Are you signing onto the Google Nest app with the same account you previously used?

Did you do a factory reset by pressing the reset button and the large doorbell button?
