I recently installed the new nest battery doorbell. The motion/event detection is hopeless. The camera fails to record just about every event. Have had multiple deliveries, visitors etc where people have been in view of the doorbell from 30 feet away all the way up to 1 foot from the doorbell, but no alert is triggered, no video is recorded.
Have changed the settings to the most sensitive wake up level, played around with zones and motion settings, toggled the event notifications on and off but nothing seems to make a difference.
When the camera does record an event, it fails to send a push notification to any of my devices (2 X phones, android tablet).
I also purchased 2 X battery indoor/outdoor cams which seem to work fine, issue is isolated to the doorbell.
I spent 2 hours with Google support last night and got nowhere.
Very unhappy with the product at this point.
