Nest battery doorbell registered to wrong user

Fsvit66

Hello!

I use Google home and have invited my other family members to it.

When I logged in as myself and installed my Nest battery doorbell it first went Ok and it connected to my Wifi network.

Then I removed my daughters account from the home and suddenly the doorbell disappeared from my home.

I sent a new invite to my daughters email and she is back as a user in the home.

The doorbell is still not visible and I can not reinstall it because it says it is registered to another user.

WTF......

The doorbell was new from an unopened box.

Does anyone have any idea what to do, seems like the Google home/Nest connections are still not working as they should.

Why was the doorbell registered to the wrong account in the home.

The exact sequence you described should not be possible.

Has your daughter by any chance logged into the Google Home app using her account, to see if somehow the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) somehow appears in another "home" on her account?

If not, then either something very odd malfunctioned or something else happened in your sequence of events.

You could try contacting Google Nest Support here:

Thank You for the advice, I got help with installing the doorbell ,doing a full reset (pushing the bell button and the reset pin on the back fot 12s) at least let me install it again.

Google home still notified me that my daughter installed it, at this point I do not care as long as it works 😉
