Nest battery doorbell won't connect despite applying all previously advised workarounds

My newly purchased nest battery doorbell won't connect to the google home app.
I looked online for a solution and after reading here

That others have the same issue, I applied the workarounds mentioned there. But nothing works for me.

I setup a new home in the google home app as advised there. I did multiple hard reset on the doorbell. But still the setup procedure can't get past the "trying to connect" step.

Is there anything I can do or should I return the doorbell?

Will a new unit even solve the problem? Cause it seems lately many people encounter the same issue.

To add details:
I don't have any other nest cameras nor doorbells. This is the first.
But I do have a nest hub and a couple nest mini and they're all correctly setup in my home network.

Solved. I'll describe what fixed it. Maybe it can help others. The good news os I didn't have to create a new home container.

 

One of my jest mino had disconnected and I guessed I needed to reconnect it before trying to connect the doorbell.

That + resetting again the doorbell did the trick

I have the same problem, device won’t connect to wifi, exchanged device but still have same issue, everything else in the house connects fine.

I have the same issue.  Trying to return the device through customer support is frustrating.  I've been told twice that an email has been sent to the senior support team but they do not reply.
