Nest cam battery model will not show on Nest, only Google home

Unfortunately, that's true, as many of us customers have discovered. The new battery model also does not appear on home.nest.com.
Google's explanation (along with customer reactions) can be found here:

I returned mine for a refund. Not only do they not show up in the Nest app there is no way to view the new cams from your computer's browser.

Hey, everyone.
It looks like you have all sorted this out, but yes, the new Nest devices are only able to be managed through the Google Home app. In the future, all devices will be Home app only, but some legacy devices have been kept Nest app compatible to smooth out the transition. As Home app continues to evolve, it is designed to be a single hub for all things in the smart home. If there's anything else I can do for you here, just let me know.
Thanks.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the update. I think the only remaining frustration is the time table for the updates. I think it would go a long way to show some good faith on the Google side to release an update in the next few weeks giving the user base SOMETHING to improve the usability. The currently stated "sometime in 2022" for me isn't sitting well. ... just my 2-cents

Hi, EmptyNester.
I agree that having unknown timetables can be frustrating. I'll pass that feedback along to our teams. Thanks for bringing that up.
