Has anyone else seen their streaming or notifications stop when door-to-door solicitors approach the door? I have seen this happen twice. You can see them walk up the sidewalk and just as they get to the door, streaming stops and resumes when they leave. I now wonder if what they are using will block door sensors.

Maybe it's just the limitations of the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery). When running on battery power (and the battery doorbell always runs on battery power, even when wired), the battery doorbell and battery camera are in "Idle" mode. From other posts, it seems they don't always wake up in time to catch the beginning of an event, and they seem quick to stop recording an event as well.

It’s not a battery model. That was the closest option in the drop down menu for me to select. But the camera was out for the duration they stood at the door. I could see them through a window. When they left the camera started again….if what you are saying is a feature then it sucks. Who wants a camera that stops when some kid walks up to steal a package?

I wasn't suggesting it was a "feature" but rather a limitation of the battery cameras and doorbells
We have Nest Hello wired doorbells and have not seen the behavior you've encountered.
And yes, Google has some confusion with how they've labeled their doorbells and cameras.
