Nest cam not recording all events

My recording is intermittent. My cam recorded me leaving this afternoon but just now when a package was delivered to my garage there was no recording no notification and no history. 
  Ran the troubleshooter and it said no wifi data available yet i can look at the live stream perfectly fine. 
   Any ideas why it records only some stuff. Its happened before but then went back to working fine.

I had a problem like this before from one of my five cameras. Too regularly, this camera lost it's connection to my router and thus the recording failed intermitently. I installed a wifi extender between this camera and my router and my problem was resolved.

Is your battery camera running on battery power. If so, perhaps the problem is that your camera is not doing a good job of waking up from "Idle" mode to detect and record events.

We've had a battery camera since Sept. 2021. It is plugged in with the optional power cable and does a good job of detecting events during the day, but not as well at night. (But since it is plugged in, it records 24/7 even if it does not detect an event.) However, if we unplug it, so that it is running on battery power, and then walk in front of the camera, it does not detect or record that as an event. I've seen similar posts from customers with 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells running on battery power.
