Nest cam stopped showing video notifications after latest Android update

                         After installing Android's latest update, I stopped receiving video notifications.  I still get push notifications without video.  Frustrating to have to open app every time to see what the alert was about. Applies to all cams, indoor and out.

I have not had the best experience with Nest support.  Wasted hours doing what I had already done to troubleshoot, with no resolution. Seemingly, it was a Nest wide issue. After yesterday's newest Nest update, video notifications are working again, without further troubleshooting on this end.

The video notifications resolved.  I think Nest changed something in recent update to fix.  I am, however, now experiencing sporadic disconnect of outdoor cam.  It's been working fine for 1+ years.  Nothing has changed with wifi or position of cam.  The sporadic delayed notifications and lack of recognition of some people also continues.  Frustrating.

Have you tried to Restart your Cam? Or Factory Reset it? I would try those steps first, but a long of Android devices are having this issue at this time. Looking Into the issue, but I do not have an ETA.

I would suggest that you reach out to Support for further assistance on this issue. That way, they can walk you through additional troubleshooting and could potentially get it sent forward if you need additional assistance.

I'm hoping it also resolves the issue all cams have recently exhibited with delayed notifications and alerting about sun/shade changes but not alerting, or even showing in timeline, when actual vehicles and people appear.

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling Nest app on phone and restarting cam.  I definitely believe this to be a Nest working with Android issue.  The first time I opened the Nest app, after installing latest Android updates, it indicated the app (as well as others - which still seem to be working) was an older version.  I have the most recent version of the Nest app from the Play Store.  I even uninstalled, turned off phone, reinstalled again to see if there was a glitch with the update to the Nest app.
