Nest came floodlight not connecting

So I’m having an issue involving my floodlight outdoor camera. It has 120v going to it but the floodlight says offline and the camera is running on battery power.

I’ve tried resetting it multiple different ways from flipping the breaker off and on to the reset button on the device. But now I tried removing and reconnecting the device to my google account (hoping it would help) and now it won’t reconnect to my account.

Since your floodlight says it's offline AND your camera says it's running on battery power, are you certain there is power to the fixture and it is not switched off with a wall switch for that circuit?

You could try contacting Support using the link and instructions in this post:

I will have to contact support. I tested the hot and neutral for voltage with my meter and received 120v. Plus I have a voltage tester that beeps when there is current, and it was beeping.

Hello, is this a new brand new camera?  Or was this previously working and is now failing?  And if so how old is it?

It is brand new. Operated well for about 2 days before this situation happened.

Hmmmm,  well something isn't right.  Where did you purchase it from?  If you got it from Amazon or BestBuy I would just return it and get a replacement.   If you got it directly from Google then contact them.

I purchased from Home Depot in early October in preparation of moving to the new house. And I didn’t have a chance to install until last week.

Hmmmmm,  I think your path of least resistance is to return it and/or exchange for another one.  Even though it is past 30 days my experience with HD is they will take it back.  Trying to go thru Google tech support could easily take up a lot of your time (sorry Google but that has been my experience).

Oof. Oh well. I’ll give it a shot. Thank you.

If you do want to try Google Tech support then here is the link to open a support ticket.  After you enter the info you will be given to option to speak with a person or get a call back (I think).
