Nest camera notifications not showing video preview

The other day, video preview stopped working on my iPhone and Watch. This appears to be an ongoing issue as it is continually resurfacing in these forums. Recommendations on how to resolve the issue?

For some unknown reason, video preview began working yesterday without any changes made on my end.
