Nest camera outdoor, Android, Setup Nest app

Have tried setting up new Nest Cam Outdoor device using both methods (scanning QR code & entering six digit code manually).  Each time I get as far as the page that says 'Choose the last 4 digits of your camera's serial number' - but cannot get any further.  Status of the camera is green dosent show any other color cannot add the device to NEST app at all only to google home.
The camera is approx 5 feet from the router and I have no reason the belive that anything is faulty within the wifi system itself.
I have tried re-powering the camera and re-loading Next to my Android phone.  No progress.
Any suggestions please?

Forgot to mention if I try to install it using the browser on my PC once I connect the USB cable that came with the package no blue lights or anything shows up I have tried restarting everything nothing seems to be working phone router pc getting a bit mad here so please help.

Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I just wanted to make sure that your issue is addressed. I would love to look into this further for you! I am so sorry that you have had all this trouble trying to set up your new Nest Cam Outdoor! I bet that this has been quite frustrating for you. For clarification, I have some questions to ask.

  • Is your device used to set up the new camera connected to wifi? 
  • Have you tried using a different device to set up the new camera?
  • What other troubleshooting steps have you done besides what you have stated?
