Nest camera replay no longer offering 15 second back or forward

As of today, my Nest Camera is no longer providing the ability to rewind or forward in 15 second increments. The icons do not populate on the recoded frames. What happened?

Thank you for posting here in the community. I'm sorry that you are not able to rewind or forward to your footage anymore. I understand how frustrating it could be. Help is here.

 

Please try to clear data and cache from the Google Home app; also, if you use it on the computer, try the same steps. If the issue persists, please try to uninstall the app and reinstall again; try to restart your phone and computer to refresh the software updates. Also here are a few options to consider to view the camera history:

 

  1. Open the Home app.
  2. Tap Favorites or Devices.
  3. Select your camera.

You can view video history under the camera’s live view as either a timeline or list of events. To switch between views, tap Timeline or Events list.

Byron, thanks so much for your suggestions. None of your helpful suggestions worked. However, I was able to figure out why I was having these issues. Nest Aware hit up an old credit card of mine (cancelled due to fraudulent activity) for auto-payment, which was rejected. Instead of contacting me for payment, they simply shut down those capabilities without any warning or information. Not great customer service if you ask me.

Thank you for your response and your details on this. I really appreciate your feedback. It's important to send any notifications to your device when the service shuts down. This is definitely not the best course of action.
