People (on this forum) have been complaining about what a HUGE pain it is to update nest products if you change your WIFI name and password.   And google has done NOTHING to simplify this process.   Like so many user requests people ask for this to be fixed goes into the Google BLACK WHOLE of requests and they end up working on what ever they feel like working on.

Here is there official instructions on how to proceed.   Good luck...

Unfortunately these steps did not get me past the last step in the setup. The camera is working but the live view in the app is not.

So the next thing I would try is look to see if you can view the LIVE VIEW from your computer browser.  Since you are using the GOOGLE HOME app you will want to go to HOME.GOOGLE.COM and sign in with the same login and password as your app.  This will help point you in the direction of it being a cell-phone problem or something else like a problem at Google's end with their server setup.

The next thing I would do is open a support ticket using this link (below).  Once you answer the questions you will be able to speak with an actual Google Tech person who can look at what is going on.

I'd love to hear how this plays out and if they get you up and running how they did it.

Finally got it to work. Had to completely delete my "Home"  and uninstall app. Factory reset all cameras and start fresh. All this work, time, and frustration just to change our my router to save $10 a month on my internet bill. It was a good brain exercise for my senior brain. When it is time to change cameras I will definitely be shopping around. Thanks all for helping.

Wow,,, glad you got it all going.  What you went thru is what a lot of people have also reported (in the last 5 yeas) that they had to go thru as well.  The only easy way to change Wifi Routers with Nest products is to give new router the exact same name and password as the old one.   That way all the Nest products just attached to the new WIFI and don't even know anything changed.

On a related note Google is about to release updates to their nest security cams in October but I don't expect anything will change when it comes to how the BACK-END Wifi system works.   So this problem will live on.
