Nest cameras won’t connect on google home app

We have recently purchased three nest cameras. Two are battery one is wired. Neither of them connect to my google home application but the google nest doorbell we have connected with no problems. Is there a reason our cameras aren’t connecting properly? They turn on when plugged into the wall and the blue light turns on, they even chime to signal in pairing mode but to no avail. Anyone else have problems connecting to their iPhone google home application? Any solutions would be helpful!

If you search this forum for "assisting device", you'll find multiple posts about issues with people setting up their new cameras and doorbells, along with multiple suggested solutions and workarounds--some simple and some not so easy. We have been fortunate and have NOT encountered the error with our newest devices, so I can't recommend which you should try. Google Nest Support's posted responses say they're working on the problem.

I had the same issue and had to disconnect my Nest thermostat from my Google Home, add the new camera, then re-connect the thermostat. Perhaps it's the same with the doorbell and other Nest devices? Try removing them, adding the new camera, then re-adding the old devices back. That did the trick for me. Hope this helps!
