Are your cameras the newer Google Nest Cameras (Battery) or the older Google Nest Outdoor Cameras? If you have the newer battery cameras and they're running on battery, some customer posts in this forum report that because the cameras are in "Idle" mode when running on battery, they don't always wake up in time to detect an event.

In addition you also want to go into the camera settings itself and set up areas of notification.  Within each camera you can set up a Perimeter to notify you meaning if someone comes in the driveway it will notify you it will also notify you of every other type of a movement which can be annoying. Check the settings and what type of alerts you want to receive. See if this helps
