Nest cameras

I have one nest battery cam and one wired floodlight cam. For 1 year no problems but in the last few weeks they go offline frequently.

I have reset the router and done factory resets on both cams. They then worked for one day and are now again offline and unreachable.

Hi GMarkSmith,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay and to hear that your Nest Cameras won't stay connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Let's sort this out:

  • How far are your cameras from the router?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near your cameras? Those devices could interfere with the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signal.
  • If your Wi-Fi router is dual-band (supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signals), your cameras may connect to one band better than it connects to the other band, depending on your surroundings. Do you know which channel it was connected to?

Best,

Jenelyn
