Hello,
I recently purchased a Nest Hello Doorbell (wired) and connected it. I’m curious about how it is supposed to work. When I ring the bell, my mechanical bell rings just fine, but I hear no sound from the nest chime puck. The transformer is 16V so it is compatible.
Thanks

The "chime puck" (shown in the post below) that gets wired to your indoor doorbell chime is an electrical component that provides continuous power to your doorbell. It does not "ring"; your indoor doorbell chime rings (or should ring).

The Nest Mini (shown in the link below) connects via Wi-Fi and can be set up to receive "Visitor announcements" from your doorbell).

I am assuming by "nest chime puck" you mean the Nest Mini, and not the "chime puck" or "chime connector" that gets wired to your indoor doorbell chime.
Have you turned on "Visitor announcements" for your doorbell?

Well, this is quite embarrassing, but yes, I mean the chime connector that’s wired to the doorbell. Isn’t it supposed to ring?
