Nest doorbell 2nd gen wired

IsitPossible

I want to be able to see my alerts on my Samsung Tv either via my Dish Hopper or SmartThings app or however it will work. Both the Hopper and SmartThings app say “no compatible products found.“ I’ve followed all instructions a million times and no go. The camera works great on my phone.

Is the 2nd gen nest wired doorbell not compatible with the Dish Hopper 3 or Samsung TV?
Anyone know how to get alerts on the tv or make the hopper see the doorbell?

Following this topic. Same issues I'm having. Unable to include Gen 2 wired doorbell to Smartthings.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, as I can imagine it has been an inconvenience. I would love to look into this further for you. If you are having troubles adding your device, it most likely is not compatible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best regards,
Brad

Not going well Brad it seems myself and Vi122 are the the only two with this problem or that don’t know how to fix it since no one is responding.   I think you’re right though, the gen 2 tech must be ahead of the SmartThings and Dish hopper 3 tech & it’s not compatible. Seems kind of weird for  such a simple thing like a doorbell but I did see where it wasn’t even compatible with PCs so I guess I was expecting too much.

Thanks for your help. I still can’t connect to my dish hopper so I can only assume the gen 2 wired doorbell is still not compatible with the hopper or Samsung TVs. I’ll just have to rely on the small ding from my smart phone.

I am definitely not familiar with dish hopper, but I am sorry to hear it is not a compatible device. I am glad to hear you are at least getting notified via your phone alerts.

Best regards,

Brad

Adding that I, too, am looking for support from Google for the 2nd gen wired Nest doorbell + SmartThings integration.

In SmartThings, when you go to add a device, the Nest Wired Doorbell is listed, but the problem is that Google has not added this device into the partner integration with SmartThings, so you cannot add it into SmartThings to use with routines.

Please @Brad, intercede on our behalf, and ask Google to add this device to the SmartThings partner integration ASAP!

Thank you for sharing your Feature Request with us. I am sorry to hear the SmartThings integration isn't what you're looking for. We’re always looking for ways to improve, and appreciate your feedback. You can send it at any time using your devices by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback," or by following the steps found here. This thread will remain open for 24 hours for any follow-up questions or concerns.

Not sure you understand what we're saying, just putting cookie cutter responses that dont apply.

The device is missing from the SmartThings integration. Google needs to step up and fix/add it. I've provided feedback on every place it's possible already.

I completely understand what you're requesting. As this isn't a current option, this would be considered a feature request. I cannot guarantee that this will be addressed, but the more information you share with Google, via the apps, that information is sent to our engineers and developers. Thank you for sharing this feature request, as we'll be locking this thread at this time. If you have a different concern you would like assistance with, please feel free to start a new thread.
