I just upgraded to the latest nest wired doorbell as my old one broke. My previous doorbell would play doorbell chimes on my phone but the new one only allows the basic notification ding sound. I have not found a way to change the notification sound. Does this exist and if not is it in the works for a future update? Very frustrating.

Hi Bobonboba,
Thank you for reaching out to our community.
I appreciate your inquiry about the doorbell chimes. You mentioned that your new Nest Doorbell (wired Gen 2) only plays the basic notification ding sound on your phone, whereas your previous doorbell had more customizable chimes. I’m happy to assist you with this concern.
At this moment, based on the settings features available for the Nest Doorbell (wired Gen 2), I found that in addition to standard doorbell tones, seasonal doorbell themes are available around some holidays. You can change the theme or set a different chime sound in the app’s doorbell settings.
When you turn on a seasonal theme, a unique sound greets visitors when they ring the doorbell. If you use visitor announcements for your Google Nest or Home speaker or display, the sound plays on the doorbell and in your home.
After the holiday, your doorbell automatically goes back to the default tone, and the seasonal theme disappears in the app.
