I purchased this door bell as we away a lot and live away for work and needed to known people rang the bell.  My android  phone send me a message when its rung and and by the time i notice they have gone. Should my phone ring or give me a more audible notification   that some has called !! If this is the case its a total  waste of money for me.

In our other location we also have a nest Hub

Please advise if i can get my phone to give a load notification

@robvaughan1005

We have iPhones, so the only doorbell notifications we get on our phones is controlled by the default sound for notifications, and the sound level is whatever volume our phones are set at.  Is there any setting under notifications on your Android phone that lets you set the notification sound for Google Home app events?

No.. This has been a total waste of money for us!  The purpose was to answer the bell when we are away

The customer on this thread reports they were able to set a custom alert tone for their doorbell on their Android phone:

Hello everyone,

@robvaughan1005, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. Some of the users from the link have confirmed that the steps that were shared by one of the community members are working with their Android phones.

These are the steps from the link:

1.  Go to Settings gear

2.  Tap on "Notifications"

3.  Tap on "App settings"

4.  Scroll or search for Google Home (on my phone it is just under "Home") and tap on it

5.  Scroll to the notification sound you want to change.  We are all interested in the Doorbell press sound on your phone, so scroll down to "Doorbell press notifications" and tap on the vibrating bell icon on the left.

6.  Make sure the slider is slid to the right on "Show Notifications".  When you do, it should bring up options for you to change.  Tap on the "Sound" choice and make a choice based on the notifications that are present on your phone.  Make sure and tap "Save" in the top right corner after you make your decision.

7.  Back out of the menus with the left arrow on the top left.

8.  Make any other changes you want to make while here.  Then go press your Nest Doorbell.  Your phone will respond with the choices you made.

Let us know how it goes.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Regards,

Emerson
