Nest doorbell condensation

jmac80

Hello all

this last while our nest door bell looks like it is pealing and now it has condensation so we can't really see out the camera now, it also does not alert us anymore of people coming to the door, I guess because it can't see now.

is there a fix? Thanks.  James.

You could try contacting Google Nest Support (https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp) to see whether they'll consider replacing your Nest Hello. They won't replace our Nest Hello that's peeling because it's two years old now and past warranty, and both of our Nest Hellos have failing internal batteries and are not deemed replaceable for the same reason. (At least we have workarounds; we bought a silicone skin for the peeling doorbell, and we turned off "Indoor chime" on both so they don't go offline due to the failing batteries when the doorbell is pressed, and are relying on "Visitor announcements" on our Nest Hubs instead.)  Maybe since yours is virtually dead, they'll consider replacing it.
