Nest doorbell doesn’t send notifications

Hi, I have had an old Nest wired camera for 4+ years which sends notifications fine for any sound or movement, I have just purchased Nest Doorbell and set it up on Google Home, video is fine, all notifications set to on but it doesn’t send any notifications, Any idea what I have missed in the setup as this seems to be its prime function and pretty pointless without it.

Do you have notifications enabled for the Google Home app under Settings | Notifications on your iPhone settings?

Hi, thanks for the response, yes everything is switched on under Notifications for Google Home on my iPhone and iPad.

If your settings look like the screen shots below, perhaps you could try deleting and reinstalling your Google Home app. If you JUST installed it, perhaps there's some lag on the Google Nest server before your settings take effect.

Hi thanks again for your reply.  Yes my settings are pretty much as yours and I have now started getting some events come though its a bit weird though as it seems nowhere as sensitive as my old Nest wired indoor camera.  I suspect there may have been some delays on the server with the setup.  I'll leave it for a while and see how it goes, otherwise will factory reset doorball and re-install the app.
