Nest doorbell no longer chimes inside

Our nest doorbell worked for many weeks chiming inside. I’ve done all the troubleshooting and nothing is helping. I’m at a loss. I don’t know what else to do. None of the suggestions in the community or on Nest or Google Home have changed anything it

I’m having the same problem that you are having. My hubby and I have went through all the steps and still want ring on our speakers.

I understand that your Nest doorbell was working flawlessly for several weeks, successfully chiming inside your home. However, it has now stopped working, and despite trying troubleshooting steps, you haven't been able to restore it. Don't worry, help is here.

To assist you better, please answer these questions:

  • Is your Nest doorbell 1st or 2nd generation? You can use this help center as a model reference: Technical specs for Nest cameras and doorbells
  • Are you using the Nest app or the Google Home app to manage your Nest doorbell?
  • Is your Google Home app or Nest app updated?
  • Do you have an electric or mechanical chime? 
  • If you are using an electric chime, is it enabled?
  • What is the status of the Nest doorbell LED light?
  • Could you please send me the following information:
    • A photo of the wiring of the chime.
    • A photo of the wiring of the transformer (if it’s accessible for you).
    • A photo of the wiring of the chime connector
