Weird situation, it happens my router is on the same circuit as the doorbell. After installing the nest doorbell, the chime would not ring. It would try to actuate the solenoid but not strike the chime. I swapped out the transformer from 16v 10VA to 16v 30VA. After putting everything back together and turning the power on I tested it out and the chime worked perfectly. Once the wifi came on and it connected, it was back to acting like it didn't have enough power. Nest settings appear to be correct to chime inside. The only thing I can think of is it needs 24 volts instead of 16. Any suggestions?

Thanks for patience, I've checked the wiring. All new wires and no paint on them. Chime duration is off. I'm getting 18.5 volts at the doorbell with the chime connector. Regardless if the chime connector is on or off, the chime won't work once it boots up. When you initially turn the power on, the chime works perfectly.
Also, I have the nutone mechanical chime doorbell.
