We were at dinner recently and a friend asked us to show them our pool through our nest app in the backyard we easily did this. When we got home, with no record of the video of it changing the target or point at which the camera was aimed, moved. The next day, puzzled I checked the position and nothing has changed. I know this from the dirt under the soffit being untouched. And now no matter how many times I try to move positions, the video feed shows a different area than what I am pointing the camera at. I is it possible to re enter the camera focal point? This is not a zoomed in thing nor an activity zone. I tried rebooting, removing from and adding back. Any ideas?

You may have inadvertently triggered the zoom and "enhance" feature in the Google Nest app (also available on the home.nest.com website). Besides zooming, it can also change the focal point. See this help topic, including how to turn off "Enhance".

MplsCustomer...many thanks - you provided what I found in my efforts as well, however what you said actually is accurate. On the Android app you can modify the zoom and find the enhance function. On the website you pointed out, that's where I found the problem zoom and was able to turn off the enhance function.
Many thanks!
