Nest not giving me 24/7 video anymore?

Paying for ‘nest aware’ no longer records video 24/7 just gives me “events” when it actually recognizes something happening in an activity zone? Since google took over nest the thing works sporadic at best. What good is that???  I think it’s time to change providers!

I did , thru settings, turn the camera off and then back on.   That didn't help.  I didn't try to factory reset it and actually don't know where the factory reset pinhole is on the camera.  But I still get all the notifications from the camera and today, surprisingly, the video is working again.

So the problem went away as mysteriously as it had appeared.

Thanks for the suggestion of factory resetting it.  If the problem happens again I will try that.

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I can definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be, but I wanted to make sure that your issue was addressed.

Just wanted to know if you still needed help with this issue as I know that there's been a delay in response since you posted. If so Here is a great article that goes over the basics of Nest Aware.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Garrett DS

My Nest outdoor IQ today suddenly stopped producing video.  Audio works and the list of flips indicates what it saw and in what zone.  But the video is just gray.   Here's a clip of when it stopped working.

@Mrtex

Have you tried to Restart your camera? If that doesn't work, have you tried to Factory Reset the camera? That may help you out if you are having an interruption in your camera feed.

Best Regards,

Brad.
