Nest notifications gif previews not working

Recently Nest made us update to Google Home and ever since we no longer get the little gif video notifications on camera activity on the iPhone app. Only still frame shots of what ever activity is happening. How do we get the little video clip previews to work again? I've tried everything I've found online and even disconnected and reconnected all our cameras and doorbell (that was a pita).  Any help is appreciated.

We migrated our Nest Account to a Google Account in 2020, and have continued to use the Google Nest app for all of our 1st gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells, and continue to get notifications with a short video clip that we can review on our iPhones without opening the Google Nest app.

We've tried both apps. Currently using the Nest app and still not getting the short clips. 😕

I don't know why preview clips are no longer working for you. When you say "Nest made us update to Google Home", what do you mean? I'm not aware of anything Google Nest us making us update.

Did you "transfer" your 1st gen Google Nest cameras from the Google Nest app to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app? If so, we haven't done that, so I don't know whether preview clips work in the Google Home app for transferred cameras. Did you then transfer your cameras back to the Google Nest app? If so, maybe there's some glitch in that transfer back process.

Is your Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription active? You can check on the Subscription Management page:
