Hello. My outdoor camera started to go intermittently offline, after power cycles the camera would start to work again.

Today I could hear a high pitched reasonably load whining noise coming from the camera.

checked in working power supply but now camera will not turn on. No power led on camera. No video in app.

help. Suggestions.

Hey, Muddafunksta.
Sorry for my late response. Thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I can definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be. I have a few questions about the issue.

  • Do you still need help with this, or have you already worked it out?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you done thus far?
  • Which model of outdoor camera are you using?
  • The camera won't respond to anything, including attempts to factory reset it?

Please let me know if you need further assistance and a little more about the situation and we can work this out.
Thanks.

Thank you for responding.

nest outdoor camera. Wifi wired power

no power to camera after whining noise.

changed power sockets. No difference
factory reset pin used. No difference.

I Believe power supply or camera is faulty and no longer supplying power or being powered.

@Muddafunksta

It sounds like it could be faulty if it still isn't getting any power to the camera. Those steps usually clear out most issues the camera is having. How long have you had the camera for?

Best Regards,

Brad.

Hi there,

Just checking in to see if you still need assistance with this issue. If so, please let me know and I would love to look into this further for you!

Best Regards,

Brad.

I do t think you can do anything unless it’s replacing the camera?

its disappointing that a (that I thought was) quality well made camera would fail so quickly, it’s only 18 months old.

Hi there @Muddafunksta

Do you have any current function of this camera? If it is not working at all, then we can look into a possible replacemenet.

Best Regards,

Brad.
