Nest wired doorbell 2nd gen

We have NEST doorbell cameras installed on front and back doors. Back doorbell camera gives video alerts and records clip, front does not. We can see front door camera view in app and doorbell is working. Can you assist?

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • Did you receive any notifications in the past?
  • How far from the router is the front door camera?
  • Have there been any recent changes to your environment, such as a change in Wi-Fi network or recent outages?
  • Could you please check if there are wireless interference like walls and floors, nearby Wi-Fi networks, other electronics, cordless phones, baby monitors, microwaves, Bluetooth devices, and wireless video equipment?
  • Do you use email or push notifications?
  • Are there other family members who can access the camera? 
  • Do they receive any notifications?
  • Has the camera been moved recently?
  • Are there any activity zones set up for the camera?
  • Could you please ensure that the front door camera is connected to the same WiFi network as your mobile device?
  • Could you please double-check that the front door camera is linked to the same Google account that you use with the Google Home app?
  • Are you using the Nest app or Google Home app to set up your front door camera?
