Nest wired Doorbell died. It will not receive electricity after removing and plugging in to USB. Purchased in 2019. This is very premature for it to completely die. Please help

Hi St3,  since this is a user forum you will probably not hear back from Google.  Your best bet is to open a support ticket with the Google Folks.  Here is the link:

Hey ST3,

Appreciate the help, EmptyNester.

Are you using the original power cable and adapter came with your doorbell? Try checking if the power cable is properly plugged into the power outlet and properly connected to the doorbell. Also, check that the power outlet is sending power. You can test this by plugging another device into the outlet. Keep us posted.

Thanks,

Archie

Thanks for the reply. I have several adapters with varying voltages. I have tried them all. It will not charge or come to life. The doorbell does get warm when utizing charger or when placed back on the wires. Unfortunately, I had to buy a new one.

Thanks Brad - feel free to close. The solution was to purchase a new doorbell since the other one would not power up. The unit was past warranty unfortunately so replacement was the option.

Hi St3, did you buy a used Nest HELLO cam? Or did you buy the new Doorbell (battery)?

Nest Hello cam since we were wired for it.

You will be very happy you did that.  The new one is a disaster because it only works with the Google home app and you can't view it from a computer browser.  It has many other problems but I will leave it there for now.
