I recently purchased and tried to install a new wired Google 2nd gen doorbell but ended up with the blinking yellow light indicating not enough power. I had a certified electrician come to my house to try to find the problem, but he said everything is set up properly, there's not a problem with the transformer, there's adequate power to the chime and the doorbell, and he can't understand why it's not working. I don't really want to pay a Nest certified installer if I don't have to. Any suggestions? Thanks!

There are a number of posts in this forum from customers who had problems with 16 V 10 VA transformers even though they meet Google Nest's stated minimum requirements (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9247132). When we got our second Nest Hello doorbell a couple of years ago, we upgraded to a 16 V 30 VA transformer because our chime wouldn't ring for the second doorbell. I've seen posts from other customers who also upgraded to 16 V 30 VA.
I'm not an electrician, just another Google Nest customer sharing our experience.
