Nest wired outdoor can sending notifications when home

Had my cameras (2) for about 3yrs now and notifications worked for the most part. Last couple of weeks I keep getting notifications when I'm home and on my wifi. It's recognizing when I'm home or away but keeps sending me push notifications. Using presence sensing in the home app. No settings have been changed. Factory reset both cams and uninstalled the app and nothing works. I've went over the settings several times and they're the same as they've always been

Thanks for doing some steps beforehand — these are of great help! Let’s see what’s going on. What’s the make and model of your phone? Have you checked if your phone location is on? It's an important setting because it affects location accuracy.

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Restart your Nest app. Also, close all the apps running in the background of your phone, then try it again.
  2. Go to your phone's Settings and select Location.
  3. Make sure that Wi-Fi scanning is set to on. It lets your phone use Wi-Fi to narrow down your location even if you have Wi-Fi turned off.
  4. The Nest or Home app needs Background App Refresh turned on for Home & Away Routines or Home/Away Assist to work.

I did all those steps and it still doesn't work. It will work for a couple days and then go back to still sending notifications when I'm home and it's set to not do that. It shows when I'm home and away just fine so it's connecting to the Wi-Fi and recognizing it. It worked Saturday and then all day Sunday and today it kept sending me notifications while it says I was home

I’m sorry for the delay. Could you check if the Home/Away assist setting is set correctly in your Google Home app, and turn off your phone for 60 seconds then let me know if that helps?
