Nest wireless doorbell

  1. This product should have a label that says let the buyer beware. I have tried numerous times to get this thing to ring in the house with no luck. I have spent hours on the phone with support help. This product simply will not work. Do not buy this if you are looking for a wireless doorbell with the camera. This is not the product for you

Hello Carolw,

Thanks for posting here in the Community. To confirm, are you trying to ring your Nest Doorbell inside your house with your smart speaker? If so, then you need to enable the visitor announcements.

Give these steps a try:

Nest Doorbell (battery) and other compatible doorbells

  1. Open the Home app.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. In the top right, tap Settings and then your Nest Doorbell.
  4. Turn Visitor announcements on or off.
  • Note: You can also use Do Not Disturb to temporarily turn off visitor announcements for your Google speaker or display.

Nest Doorbell (wired)

To turn visitor announcements on:

  1. Open the Nest app.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Visitor announcements. This will take you to the Google Home app.
  4. When asked, follow the on-screen prompts in the Google Home app to complete setup.
