Very Disappointed, I have 7 Nest Cam IQ cameras and just bought the new battery operated Nest Cam. I simply love the Nest Cam IQ cameras, I like the ease use with the Nest App, and having Google home as a backup. HOWEVER, with the new battery operated camera it does not connect to the Nest App only to Google Home. They should have named it the Google Cam. Whereas I have seemless integration on all my other cameras with the Nest App and can view easily away from home, I don’t get this with the new product. Google appears to have also modified the Nest App set up as well to take you to Google Home, and does not return to Nest App afterword. I bought these Nest Cams for the The simplicity of use with the nest app. However, Google has really messed this one up now spreading it unequally across 2 apps. Why break something that wasn’t broken. I am so angry, I’ll be returning my camera to the store and buying a different product. I do not appreciate being forced to only use the Google home app and loose the features and simplicity of The Nest App. I thought the two ways of looking at the cameras was a good thing. If I have to look at 2 different apps anyway with option to use the Nest App taken away for new cameras, I might as well Look at Blink or Aero or some other products. I am so hugely disappointed.

Since there is no resolution, I returned both units I purchased and I am looking for alternate solutions from competitors. Very disappointed in Google taking something great and breaking it!
