Notification on iOS always opens live stream

Hello. 

i recently switched from an Android device to an iPhone and noticed an unexpected issue with the IOS version of the Nest app. 

On Android when I click on a notification of an event, like someone was Deen at the door at 10:10 i.e. It opened the nest app and showed the event at 10:10.  

On iOS when i click the same type of notification, It doesn’t open the specific event but shows the live stream instead and then  i have to remember the time of the event from the notification and search for the event manually. 

This is pretty annoying. 
How can I get this to work properly on iOS as well?
