New Nest Cam Outdoors not sending alerts

I can access live images from both cameras but neither are registering any alerts. Can anyone please advise? The green light seems a bit intermittent on both cameras even though they are both fully charged so the images are not always stable

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest outdoor cameras aren't sending you alerts. Help's here!

 

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

 

  • Is the Airplane or Do Not Disturb mode turned off or on?
  • Did you try to use a different mobile device?
  • Have you created an Activity Zone?
  • How far is your Wi-Fi router from the Nest cameras?

In the meantime, let's check a few things:

 

  • Double-check notifications are enabled: Make sure the motion detection sensitivity is set to an appropriate level. Refer to this article: Camera Alerts.
  • Internet Connectivity: Verify that your home network is stable and has a strong signal. Weak Wi-Fi can affect the camera's ability to send alerts.
