New Nest Doorbell issues

Hi, we’ve just installed our new nest doorbell battery version. It’s connected to wifi ok and detects people and animals as they appear. We get a notification, click on it and can see and hear the person at the door. What we cannot do is speak to them or send quick responses. It’s just not working. Any ideas? We’ve checked that the mic is permitted but talk and listen isn’t working. Also, we can’t set activity zones, the camera won’t turn on to enable it. Other than this it’s great, but we really want to be able to talk to people at the door when we are out. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi Vickers,  there are a good number of people on this forum reporting this problem.  As best I can remember this is a bug with Android phones.  Since this is a user forum you should probably open an official support ticket so that Google will respond and might be able to get you running.

If they get you going please report back here and let us know how it got resolved.  It might help other people with the same issue
