New Nest battery camera - Day / Time scheduling

Hi all. I've just got a couple of the new battery cameras (using externally), however there seems to be no way in the Google Home app to schedule the cameras to turn on and off and certain points during the day or night. This was available in the Nest app and it was simple and elegant, took minutes to set up a schedule. If this has been omitted, it's going to be a serious flaw for a lot of people.

Google assistant routines don't seem to have this particular functionality, unless of course you want to serenade the thieves stealing your TV with a favourite playlist.

Anyone figured this out. Any assistance, much appreciated.

Unfortunately not yet a feature. I spent hours in googles chat support and worked with 4 seperate support staff and this is the result “You can schedule your Nest camera to turn on and off at specific times regardless of whether someone’s home or not.This feature is currently only available for cameras controlled by the Nest app.“ https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9220484?hl=en

Hey Brad, 

Diligence eh? You mean incompetent Google designer and so called engineers? Hopefully they are no longer employed. 
The Nest app is 100% superior to the terrible Home app.

Hi Brad, this is not a new 'feature' it's a really vital old one that was in the Nest App that's not been ported over to Google Home... please fix this ASAP

I think it is misleading and even fraudulent for Google to be calling this new Google Nest Camera Battery a "Nest" camera. We have one (five days ago because the Google Nest outdoor camera is no longer available), and are now stuck with having to use two apps to manage our cameras, and with previous Nest camera capabilities missing in our brand-new camera.

Agreed… something isn’t right here. The hardware seems sorted, but the software UX and UI is some of the worst implementation I’ve come across…. Not your finest hour Google
