Trying to help my mother add her existing Nest cams to her new phone thru Google Home. We go thru all of the steps and scan the Q code etc but then says can’t be completed after it goes thru the motions. I’m sure we are doing something wrong but no idea what, Any help appreciated!

If you are simply switching from using the Google Home app on one phone to using the Google Home app on a new phone, you shouldn't have to "add" Google Nest cameras. If you sign onto the Google Home app on the new phone with the same username and password, you should see the same "home" (structure) that was present on the old phone, with all of the same Google Nest cameras.

I appreciate the help @MplsCustomer. Aside from signing in with the same email on a different phone, I also recommend adding your mother's email as a family member in your account. When someone becomes a member of a home, they get full access to the account.
