New indoor nest cam not connecting to google app

I am trying ti add my new nest cam to the google home app but no luck. The google home app recognizes the new nest cam but when I try to add it, i go through all the steps then when it comes to connecting to new device the shapes or icons keep flipping back and forth before the app freezes! Ive been at this for hours-restarted my modem, redownloaded the google home app, done all these tears with the google support team, switched on bluetooth, switched off cellular-done it all! I had the same issue in pairing the ring doorbell a few months ago and returned it as I thought the item was defective. But clearly it’s the app! So so frustrating. Please help.

Before that, I need to know some extra information about the issue to provide you with the right steps:

  • When and where did you purchase this camera?
  • What's the color of the LED status light?
  • How far is the camera from the router?
  • Are you getting any error messages or codes?

 

Once you provide me with that information, I will gather the right steps to make your camera work as expected.
